I have to remember to do them with my hands crossed over my chest rather than behind my head, because I always wind up yanking myself around for speed in order to keep up with other people. Argh.
Neat little trick is to grab hold of your shirt when you first set down to do the crunches. The trick is to not let go of your shirt at any point until you are finished. Saves your neck and it also challenges you, taking your mind off your burning abs. ;)
