What I find [at least marginally] helpful is to put just as much emphasis on the days I look good as on the days I look bad — you know how sometimes you spend all day telling everyone "ugh, don't look at me; I don't know what my hair is doing"? If you can do that, why the hell not the other way around?

Even if your friends get sick of hearing about how great your tits look in that top [and I'm sorry, but they looked really good, okay?], you'll spend an entire day letting everyone — including yourself! — know how great you feel.

And then you have something to look back at that isn't girls from high school, or girls from magazines! And sure, that leads to a certain amount of "AUUUGH MAKEUP DO WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY," but it also proves that you can look like you want to, y'know?
