Oooh, sweet geekdom!!!

Saw Star Trek: Nemesis tonight. So so so so good! Now, I've been a trekkie since practically forever (it's the kind of thing your parents pass down to you), and I was most pleased by the film. Yes, there were holes in the plot. There are things I can't really discuss without spoiling the whole thing, and I'm not about to do that. But, oh the geek heaven I was in. (They actually MENTIONED the war with the Dominion! Hah! So nice to know that aside from being the redheaded stepchild of the Star Trek franchise, Deep Space Nine has NOT been forgotten.)

I'm perfectly fine with them ending with this film, as I fully support going out on a high.
Speaking of which, I'm off to bed...

and! Tom Hardy! if he doesn't become a huge star after this, there is no justice... (oh, Shinzon, how I love thee...)

Seriously!!! He was marvelous!! Anyone who is ready to acknowledge that evil can be complicated and vulnerable (and not all mustache-twisting caricature) deserves stardom.

(and the Slashiness between Shinzon and his Viceroy? can we deal with that for a moment?)

I loved how Shinzon seemed calmed whenver the Viceroy would caress place his hand on Shinzon's chest. *giggle* And the way he paused...

"He's my...viceroy."

(to quote Young Frankenstein "He vas my BOYFRIEND!"

Igor, wasn't your hump on thr other side?
Igor: "What hump?"

Anyway...Nemesis is on my top 3 trek movie list after the wrath of Khan and Undiscovered Country. :)

Oh sure, 7 or 8 quick ones and you're out bragging with the boys!

actually, my top three are Voyage Home, First Contact, and Nemesis. But Undiscovered Country was great - especially the bit with the 'weak knees.' *giggle*
