i had a big list of songs that may or may not have been helpful, and livejournal went down. fucking wankers. anyway, my attempt to reconstruct:

"never gonna get it" - en vogue
"bad deeds" - saltine
"girl don't tell me" - beach boys
"two days in february" - goo goo dolls
"last beautiful girl" - matchbox 20
"go your own way" - fleetwood mac
"someday" - mariah carey
"happy" - stabbing westward
"breakfast after 10" - blue october

i don't know if any of those is what you were looking for, but it's all i could come up with off the top of my head.
