hey

anyone out there know how to delete temporary internet files and all sorts of other things that may make a computer run slowly?

Temporary internet files, other temp files, and cache files don't slow a machine down, they just fill up space.
However, if you are running low on space, your swap file might not be able to grow large enough and that could slow your machine down.

if you use ie:
click TOOLS / INTERNET OPTIONS. you should see a button that says "delete files..." click that. it may take a few minutes.

if you use netscape:
click EDIT / PREFERENCES / ADVANCED / CACHE. there should be "clear memory cache" and "clear disk cache". click them both. it may take a few minutes for each.

and ps: you can do a search on your entire hard drive (START / FIND / FILES OR FOLDERS) for *.tmp files, which are temp files that are completely useless for the most part. delete them all! wheee!

You WOULD get some weird delight over deleting temp files ;)
