Samantha Ferris blogs that she'll be back as the too-long-missing Ellen this season — and does that mean more Jo as well? As for what happens when Ellen comes back, Ferris says:

There might be some salt.....maybe a demon or two......and a whoooole lotta bad s**t going on. There. I'm sure i have totally shed light on the situation for you. (Aren't there things called spoilers for that?)

*dances* Ellen's coming baaaack, Ellen's coming back, hi-ho-the-derry-oh I should just stop right now, you get the idea. But GLEEEE!

As I've said in the past, I'm A-OK with casting spoilers, and non-specific spoilers about plot between seasons. However, once the premiere happens, I go into lockdown (but have been known to crack in the face of a casting spoiler).

But yeah. Nearly got up at my desk and did a happy dance when I read this one, and I thought of you.

JOY!!

I really dug Ellen and Jo, having consumed mass quantities of Supernatural to catch up with the new season ( caught up just after the Siren episode.)

I also missed out on all of the Jo hate in fandom, but both characters are balanced, strong women, who also present things the brothers lack.

In otherwords, BRING 'EM BACK, and yay for Supernatural female characters who are neither whores, sluts, demons, or demonwhoresluts.
