Sticky brain

For the love of the Flying Spaghetti Monster and all that is parmigiana, why, why, WHY have I had, "If I had a hammer" stuck in my head FOR TWO STRAIGHT DAYS NOW?! It's not fair. Somehow, some lame-ass song will be mentioned, suggested, or sung in my presence and I'll be dealing with its ill-effects for days. Days.

GAH.

(At least it wasn't "I've been working on the railroad," which for some bizarre reason was being sung at the Brick the other night. At least not yet. Oh, dear.)

And how was your day? Today I drafted many, many amendments, bought Echo #6, went to the post office and ate a salad. And dealt with an evil, evil song stuck in my head.

Ok, sub in the I've been working at the palace song from Princess Diaries 2. I've had that one stuck before. Oh paiiin.

I heard a McCain in the Membrane song on the radio recently that was earworm worthy - it may be this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RovN2lsT5wE

I have had a very strange pop-ish song stuck in my head for two days. It got displaced at lunchtime by the new Ben Folds song, which, strangely, is NOT that much of an improvement...

My day was frustrating. And long. And involved way too much growling at people and way WAY too much rewriting of copy. And I'm still not happy with how it's reading...

Well, I was trying to explain to my editor why they call it getting "aufed" on Project Runway, and now I have the sad good-bye music from the show stuck in my head. But I guess at least you can't sing that.

for about three weeks I had the new JONAS BROS song stuck in my head. I thought the only cure was a bullet.

I've got "A Man's Gotta Do" from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog in my head, and it's been there for two weeks. Admittedly, it's not as painful an earworm as "If I Had A Hammer," but I'm ready for a change.
