Today I brought Friday's super-yummy pasta leftovers, but I'm beginning to wonder if I should give in to my street meat craving instead. (O Gyro and Rice platter, I hear your siren song.) One of the best carts in the entire city (according to Midtown Lunch AND myself) is a scant block away, and I have to go to the library at lunch anyway. The pasta will hold until tomorrow, I suppose.

Yesterday I got to spend the day with my fabulous parents AND got new towels and a spiffy pair of new sneakers at Kohl's, who was having an insane sale. The sneakers are low-top, black leather converse. They are as cool as they sound, and were also on sale. Afterwards, Mom and I went back to the house and I watched two really exciting football games. Now, I'm usually the first to complain about how mind-numbingly boring football can be, but I will admit that I got really hooked on the Colts vs. Chargers and Cowboys vs. Giants games. Sadly, Peyton and the Colts did not manage to defeat the Chargers (as [livejournal.com profile] alcestis and I exchanged "Go Fuck Yourself, San Diego" texts). It was one hell of a game, though. Then, there was the Giant game. Right down to the last second, that one was really engrossing. I may have to watch all of the championship games next week - although the Patriot/Charger game will be hard. As mad as I am at the Chargers, rooting for anything connected to New England is nigh impossible for me.

I also very much enjoyed the first episode of The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and I can't wait to see where this goes.
