First and foremost: the friend in question from yesterday's post has apologized profusely for any unintended offense at the Buffy remark. Apparently, what he meant was that while the very idea of Buffy working for a cold fusion lab would sound funny, and her 'valley girl' slang would shake up the stuffier scientists, she'd in fact kick ass at her new job and accidentally invent cold fusion. So that's fine. ^^.
This whole job thing is starting to take...now I just have to get over this feeling of weirdness and I'll finally adjust. But last night, while talking on the phone, I realized that most of my life has been put on semi-hold. All of my energies and thoughts were directed at looking for a job. Now that job has been found, the rest of my life needs sorting out. Which explains my rather odd cleaning binge the other day, but all the same, something to think about.
(also must figure out who I am in fact exchanging xmas gifts with and who has decided to go giftless this year - I have SO much shopping to do!)
Anyway, back to work.
