Okay, so far a bullet has been dodged thus far with a strike. But I'll feel much better when everything is completely settled. And that's all I have and want to say about that.

I JUST GOT MY OWN ENGRAVED NAME PLAQUE!!

Even so, I've been busting my butt to get as much done as possible today, to not only look good but just in case, yanno? Even though I've had a generous offer in case of a strike, I still think it's in my best interest to really focus on work at work. (Insane, I know. What's wrong with me?)

Anywho, Christmas shopping is all but completely done, thanks to a day at Roosevelt Field with Carly & Tim. I had a really great time, and am reminded of the fact that I miss them both very much, and this whole going several months without seeing them thing is bullshit, and I should make it a point to see them more often. I also got myself some thigns to wear for the Christmas Party/Laura's Birthday/New Year's Eve at H&M. I only seem to have good luck there when I go with Carly, for some odd reason. *shrug* But it was sooo lovely to see them. I must go out to their house again as well. I wanted to/was going to, but I hadn't brought anything with me, so I didn't. *sigh* Next time!

Although, the bestest best thing of all that happened at H&M was quite amusing. I was trying on this velvet dress (chiffon under brown velvet with a burn out rose pattern and tiny beads on the straps). I thought it was my normal size of late (which is sometimes a 16, but usually a 14. I tend to go for size 16 dresses in H&M, because they're usually cut small. Which is not great, but I'm working on it), and though it was VERY pretty and looked very well on, I still wasn't willing to pay $50, especially when I'd be much happier in a sexy top and nice warm PANTS. But the surprise was on me, when I got back to the dressing room and saw that I mistook the BRITISH size for the actual size, and had really tried on a 12!! HOORAY! And it wasn't too tight or anything. I have no use for a brown velvet dress with an unflattering hankerchief hem, but it FIT and it was a 12 so huzzah!

And I saw the exact boots I want in the Window of Nine West this morning. Exact. I must visit...plus there are other things to be done at lunchtime, or even after work.

Yesterday we Christmas-ized the house. My mom and I spent about an hour trying to find these light-up snowflakes that we put in our windows every year. After they proved unfindable, we organized a different window arrangement, involving pretty light-up candles and sparkly, non-lightup snowflakes.

But WHAT did we find after we were all done? You guessed it! >_<
Oh well.

Anyway, I'm off to do more stuff, so I can eat in an hour, and go and run my errands half an hour after that.
