I forgot the sheer fun involved in goofing off all by your lonesome. especially when the soundtrack to Moulin Rouge is involved.

And many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] mermaidwings for allowing me to pillage her library of marvelous iconnage. Whee!

Am one giant piece of tinsel-covered sap today, for some reason. Still doesn't feel like Christmas, but I'm all happy and full of loveyness nonetheless. ^____^

The cousins we usually spend the Eve with have come down with the Eleventh Plague, so my immediate family & I are set to have a quiet night at home. I have to admit to being slightly bummed at this, because they can be quite fun. But it's also a crazy time/trip, and it's supposed to get all nasty weather tonight, so perhaps this is all for the best.

I don't even know what we're going to DO this evening. This past saturday we watched the majority of our Christmas movies: Scrooged, Alastair Sim's Scrooge: A Christmas Carol, and Die Hard. I put in a bid for Reindeer Games (cause Ben Affleck looks hot, and frankly, silly movies = good holiday fun), but we don't own it, and the video store is sort of out of the question. My sister is lobbying for the first Leathal Weapon movie, but iono about that.

I would love a Trivial Pursuit tourney, but we'll see if the family gets into that one.

Anyway, I'm saving my 'it's been a hell of a crazy year' speech for New Year's, but I'd like to extend great big warm & fuzzy Christmas/Yule/Belated Channukkah/Kwanzaa greetings to my dear friends, both on LJ and off.
