The weather is disgusting, and promises to be so all weekend. Blah. Plague seems imminent. I feel like total crap. Looks like the weekend will be spent in bed, with the company of books and dvds. I had really hoped to spend a portion of it cleaning my train wreck of a room and organizing my dumpster of a closet, but that all depends on how I feel.

I really really dislike my closet. Not the actual contents of it so much as the physical space. It's a double closet, but it's narrow and deep rather than wide, and is barely functional. I'm sort of at wit's end about it - not knowing quite what my options are. I've heard that there are companies that will come and rebuild your closet for you, but I don't have that kind of money. what I'd love is new racks within the closet, something that would make the space more use-able. I guess the best I can do at present is just to thin out my clothing herd (and there is a lot of stuff that can be thinned out, believe you me) and when it gets a bit warmer, then I can attack the closet properly. (I.e. scrape & paint it, install new, metal poles...that sort of thing.) I guess sorting through my closet isn't a particularly taxing occupation, but depending on how poorly I feel, at times sitting upright can be downright exhausting.

(I also want to vacuum. and straighten. The clutter has gone from comforting to aggravating, and I want to take care of it already.)

My horoscope has faith in me :
Life is a series of bullet points on your list of New Year's resolutions. Check off the preliminary steps one by one. There's no stopping this show once Pisces comes to believe in his or her method.

According to this site, the #1 song in the U.S. the day I was born was "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen. The #1 song in the U.K. was "Atomic" by Blondie.

So there was a British band at the top of the U.S. charts, and an American band at the top of the U.K. charts.

Somehow, that just really fits.

Edit: Apparently, the song(s) that are #1 on your 18th birthday are your life's 'theme song.' I checked. Mine are:
US Charts: Celine Dion's "My Heart Will Go On" (NOOOO!!*howls in pain*)
UK Charts: "Frozen" by Madonna

A much better choice by the UK (dur), but My Heart Will Go On Frozen? There is no way that can be a good indicator of my life.

Just watched 2 episodes of Sex & the City with Laura, and may go and watch a few more. Apparently, the 3rd season dvd I bought her has commentaries. So, well, you know. We must.

(and it sounds wet and windy and nasty and disgusting outside, and I am very happy to be home in my pjs where it is warm and dry. oh yes I am :D)
