This guy really pisses me off

and people wonder why I decided that journalism maybe wasn't for me. I knew SO many assholes like this even on the ASP that it isn't funny. I mean, you'd like to think that someone would grow out of this kind of behavior. I don't care if he's had a hard life, setbacks, etc. There is NO excuse for what he did. None. And I hope that they continue to burn him in effigy.
Journalism (and any sort of information dissemination) has a responsibility attatched to it. And it's not a difficult one, either. Just be accurate, balanced and truthful. I never found this to be difficult. Granted, you're only as reliable as your sources, but journalism (good journalism, anyway) requires a lot of hard work and a lot of vigorous pavement pounding. I guess this asshole was just too busy with the getting drunk/stoned parts of life to realize that.
