There's a bright ball of light in the sky...

The Play What I Wrote was marvelous. I have not laughed that much in an age. Liam Neeson was our guest star!! :) Sooo very much fun. Plus, Danny Aiello and Anne Meara & Jerry Stiller were in the audience!! (Unfortunately, I fell for their ongoing gag that Sir Ian McKellan was going to be the guest star. Whoops. )

Anyway, since Serena makes the perfect segue, quasisonic and I were inducing gigglefits from the "Oh Lordy!" song listing. And we came up with a couple more. "Look at me, I'm Sam Gamgee," and "Just you Wait, Frodo Baggins, Just you wait."

My mom pretended not to know us as we stood on the platform singing:
"Oh yes oh yes oh yes we both we both reached for the ring the ring the ring we both reached for the ring for the ring...." *hopes incy sees this before she's taken to a nice padded place*

Heh. So today is Contracts 101 w/ Boss L, and later on I'm supposed to be going out with Theresa and bunch of the rest of the ace Thursday gang. (I swear, this Georgia book is going to my brain). Hope to have a productive morning, as I've decided to call a shoe emergency and run out and get something with heels at lunch. I've been wearing flats waaay too long, and since I don't teach Kindergarten, I'm stating to feel the urge to have heels. Really wish I wore my new mules, but I have not gotten a pedicure yet (should do that tomorrow), and therefore am waiting.

My hair is a lost cause at this point. I may try to get something to remedy that at lunch as well.) But I am wearing my wonderful new black and white gap skirt, so all is aces here in bagel-a-gogo-land. (oooer. must stop.)

Whenever I start working I get interrupted. I should probably take this as a sign from the Powers that Be.

Forgot to mention in the last post that I got my copies of Preludes & Nocturnes and A Doll's House yesterday. So, you have my plans for the weekend. :) (not really. But they're in there.)

This is a story about shoes.

Payless was a bust. Not only that, but while careening up 5th avenue, trying to get to H&M with enough time to get back to the office quickly, darting around tourists that insist on taking up the ENTIRE sidewalk and walking as slow as humanly possible, I tried to sneak between a couple of people and sort of bumped shoulders with this girl at my usual hyperspeed. Ow.

I did look in Nine west, and found no fewer than 5 pairs that I liked, and 3 pairs that I would have bought. I am just trying to justify the expense, especially since I saw plenty of people out in really nice flats. So I dunno. I may go back and get one of these pairs anyway, just because they're so cute and practical and all (for heels, anyway). Thoughts?

As for my hair? I give up. It's a mess. It looks awful. Right into the bad hairday hall of fame. I think we're going to stay with this ponytail, oh yes we are. Le sigh.
