Pulling the puzzles apart...
Jul. 21st, 2003 02:49 pmThis weekend was busy, to say the least. I think I shall discuss the events in reverse.
I saw Pirates last night (a bit later than I would have liked to, but what can you do?). All I have to say is Arrr! Avast, ye mateys! That was a giant bit of fun, that was. That's the best performance I've seen out of Johnny Depp in eons. And Keira Knightly needs to stop looking like Winona Ryder before she went barmy. Freaky. Still, fun fun fun of the Mask of Zorro level. hee!
Yesterday I spent at the beach, which was exactly what I needed after the rigors of Siren. I lounged by the pool, and took a serene, refreshing swim inside of it, in water so clear and cool it belonged in a commercial for some caribbean island's tourist authority. I swam underneath the surface for as long as my lungs could stand it, relishing in the feeling of flying as I swam and the way the temperature seemed to jolt my skin to life as I slid in between the folds and layers of the water.
It's no wonder I had to listen to "No Mermaid" by Sinead Lohan about 5 times in a row when I got home.
