Dummy was great

Dummy was cute and sweet and light and funny. I was expecting it to be darker and slightly depressing, so I was relieved when it wasn't. See it, if you can! It was excellent.

and who made Adrien Brody so hot? eeeek! He was like this cute little puppy... /fangirl

Also, during the movie Catherine made the best joke evah out of "it's not, you it's me."

She said: "It's not you, it's me. I don't like you!"

Resulting in us giggling uncontrollably for 10 minutes or so. It was lovely to see her again (after God only knows how long it's been - I think the Lucksmiths show might have been the last time I saw her). We had dinner at Blue 9 Burger (mmmm) and dessert at Ben & Jerry's, and played at Kiehl's in between, when I tried on a Very Scary lipcolor.

Didn't make it home in time for anything but the very end of Queer Eye, but it's been taped. Also? I think they're looking for more guys for a new season, so if you know someone who needs/wants to be on the show, go to their website and get going!

and now back to work. Boss L is back from Iceland bearing chocolate and a very good mood. :D Tonight I'm seeing Underworld . Tomorrow is Trattoria Trecolori & Avenue Q. Life is good!

I'd never be the member of any club that might accept me.

Apparently I'm in a union. (I know, I was just as surprised.) They're having a meeting today. They keep sending out emails and calling me to get me to go. *sigh*

It's a beautiful day that I'd much rather spend outside. I know there are meetings in like 1/2 an hour and then another one at 1. But I'd rather pretty much do anything else than go. Boss L thinks I should go. Should I? If so, why?

Edit: Okay, in the email, they misused effect (they should have used affect). We're a publisher, for crying out loud!!!

For those of you who may not be that familiar with how I act/operate, allow me to explain my last post.

I am a big dork and was scared about getting pushed into something I wasn't comfortable with. It used to happen to me all the time in college - I'd go to check something out to see if I'd be interested, and then get things flung at me and orders given when I wasn't even sure if I wanted to take part in what was going on. So I was apprehensive.

Luckily, it wasn't like that at all - a few people I knew where there (Jonah from upstairs and D from my department) and everyone seemed pretty cool - including the people from the union. I'm not a member yet, but I am most likely going to join now, because they're not crazy people. I'm also going to see if I can get Amy to stand up for herself about overtime, because God only knows that she deserves it and isn't getting it.

I'm not going to join any comittees, but I am going to start paying dues, I think.
