Happy (Belated) Thanksgiving!
Nov. 28th, 2003 05:58 pmI was going to Phone Post yesterday (now that I have everything working properly and can listen to all of your wonderful voices!) to say Happy Thanksgiving, but after helping my mom clean up I fell asleep and then forgot. *sigh*
Still, I thought for awhile yesterday about how lucky I am to have so many wonderful friends - be they on the computer or off, it doesn't matter to me - you're all valuable and important to me, and I love you all, and I'm thankful to have you on my friends list and in my life, because you're all cool and funny and interesting. :) So thanks for being out there, writing posts that get me through the day, and listening to my bitching. :) *hugs you all*
Yesterday it was nice to just have thanksgiving the 4 of us, and be all relaxed like, with some good food and James Bond on the teevee. I ate twice my weight in food. ooooofa. I don't think I'm going to be eating much for a long time.
Poor
quasisonic has to work today. :( But we had fun last night - we watched part of the Conan O'Brien 10-year anniversary thing and goofed off. She also convinced me to give my mom her Christmas present (which was good, because I was about to explode). On December 20th, I'm taking her to a preview of Wonderful Town, starring Donna Murphy. She was so excited, so I was very pleased about that. My mom does so much for all of us that I want to do nice things for her, even though she was saying that I was nuts for buying these tickets for her. Heh. So I'm going to take her out to brunch beforehand, or dinner after (depending on a few factors, like her preference) and that's that. All other family members are somewhat accounted for, I just have to figure out the rest of
quasisonic's gift.
I also got to see Catherine today, which was lovely. :) We had breakfast at this coffee shop on the corner, which used to be the midpoint between our dwellings (until she got the hell out of this sinkhole and moved to lovely Manhattan). It was lovely to see her and catch up. :) Plus, we exchanged some cds. She gave me a copy of the new Outkast cd, Speakerboxx/Love Below. I'm very excited about this, as "Hey Ya" has been haunting me this week.
*time passes*
I got kicked offline before, so I'm back now and am going to try and finish this post. I'm feeling particularly accomplished today because I have achieved many of the goals I set for myself this morning in regards to my computer, such as setting up Money and my contacts folder and calendar. So now my PDA is now set up to do what it is supposed to. The last thing I have to do is get the new writing project on there so I can write/play with it all the time. Eee! I might also download a game or two. Like scrabble or something.
Then I'm going to do a few more things online. Then I'm going to make out some Christmas cards. Watch this space, I'll be posting an address collector sometime this weekend, with any luck.
