Dude. There's a guy in the office today that sounds just like Harry Shearer doing one of his Simpson voices.

It could well be, with the strike and all. 0.0

Okay, so I'm working on a fiction project that may grow into a novel or novella or screen treatment or I dunno what. I need some help with the following questions for my next 'scene,' and hope that I can benefit from some of your experience.

So....:

1. If you were driving up the California coast from San Diego to Los Angeles, would you be on Highway 101, Ventura, or La Cienga, or something else entirely?

2. What's the route like? Are there cliffs, beaches, or both? How long does it take, about?

I'll explain more later, I'm trying to research something I'm writing.

also: have just scored a free copy of Please Don't Kill the Freshman, the ultra-controversial real-life memoir by Zoe Trope [not her real name]. Am v.excited.

edit:Attention all Farscape Fans!

(thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dotsomething for the link!)

I just had a lovely visit with [livejournal.com profile] missgyder, who came by to drop off my and [livejournal.com profile] quasisonic's Avon stuff. Turns out they had to move the party to a house with cats, so I couldn't have gone anyway. *sigh* Ah well.

And apparently headaches are contagious! I have a doozy that I'm sure is on its way to being as mighty as the one Laura had this weekend. Joy. This kind of thing just drains the hell out of me.

This meme has been sitting here since lunch.  )

Waaay back yonder in the olden days of high school, I knew a girl named Anne Wheeler. She was cool and nice. [livejournal.com profile] quodlibetic reminds me very very much of her, in fact. Anyway, Anne was very close friends with a girl named Alison Clarke-Garvey. Apparently Alison's hyphenated name was something of a novelty to many people, and some refer to her as Alison Garvey Clarke. This prompted Anne to quip that it was the same thing as calling her Anne Erwheel.

I hauled this chestnut out onto the open fire in order to properly bitch about a misplaced file, though I'll change the name of the author for the sake of privacy. See, New Girl drafted a contract for Lee Bingo Hopscotch. HIs name is NOT hyphenated to be Bingo-Hopscotch. His last name is, in fact, Hopscotch. So, wouldn't you file the contract folder under Ho rather than Bi? I would.

Apparently New Girl believes Bingo was proper. So I had LOTS of trouble finding that file, especially as she is not here today. adfjl;ajdsfl;euradhf;adkjfe, and grah.

*headdesk* I waaana gooo hoooome!
