offbalance: (hometown by antheia)
I have been working like a lunatic all.day.long. This is one of those days that makes up for the days when I'm not particularly busy. *phew*

Part of the reason for the busy-ness is the fact that I had to make sure I had enough time to go to lunch at City Lobster & Crab with [livejournal.com profile] alcestis, as we had reservations for Restaurant Week (that twice-yearly bonanza of fancy restaurants for more reasonable prices. Granted, $20.12 isn't a cheap lunch by any means, but it's far less than normal menu prices, so what the hell. It's only twice a year, anyway.). The meal was absolutely delicious, and I now understand why their lobster ravioli is famous. mmmm. The best part of all was that I got back to my office only 10 minutes late. Whee!

Plus, I can't stay late tonight anyway, as [livejournal.com profile] digitalbrooklyn is having an organizational meeting at a tavern on 49th street. Apparently we're launching on July 4, which I only found out a few days ago. Eeep. But at least thank all the Powers That Be that I AM NOT IN CHARGE! (I have neither the time nor the energy for being in charge right now. Not at all.) Still, this seems like a fantastic and well-timed idea that I am beyond psyched to be a part of.

Right now it's nearly 5 and I'm fucking knackered. I've finally stopped coughing (yay) and having to blow my nose every 4 seconds (double yay). But I'm all but completely caught up on workish stuff. Hell, I might even be a little bit ahead (go me) ! Thusly, I post.

Only because I can't take a nap here. And ugh...my shoes are STILL NOT DRY!! (it was raining buckets when I went out to lunch this afternoon.) ugh.
