A few random thoughts.
May. 26th, 2006 10:15 amSo last night, I watched the respective season finales of both Bones and NCIS. Now, I was extremely pleased with Bones, but I'll stand by previous statements made about NCIS:( I cut because I care. )
As for Bones - wow. And dude, and holy shit. Also, I am really excited about next season now. Really excited. And, I seriously think that they should submit this particular episode for award consideration, particularly for ED, who really showed what a terrific actress she is in this episode.
I think I know why movies have been sucking lately - all the good writers work in TV.
Speaking of good writing, I just started a book written by someone I actually know, and I'm really liking it. The New York Public Library informed me that Ned Vizzini's It's kind of a Funny Story was ready for me yesterday, and it's really compelling so far. It was a definite bright spot at the end of a really bad day. Moreso than Arthur & George, which bored me to tears when it wasn't annoying the holy hell out of me (seriously? It was a similar idea as The Hours, but not nearly as interesting ). So back to the library it went. I've also been informed that my copy of The Chinatown Death Cloud Peril is ready, which is very exciting. I'll have to swing by the Brooklyn Public Library to pick that up next week, I should be done with Ned's book by then, I've been burning through it.
There's more - much more- to discuss later, but I'll do that, you know, later.
