Maybe I'm missing something after all...

makinglight linked to the craziest, catchiest song I've heard in awhile (aside from the Public Enemy/Glenn Miller mashup that
tacologic had in his bbq mix yesterday, but I'm digressing).
Apparently World Cup Fever is more catching than bird flu, and that England has continued in their history of great fight songs with a little ditty called Vindaloo. Don't expect to make heads or tails of these lyrics, this is something meant to be screamed out at the top of your lungs while heavily intoxicated, and cheering yer boys on (something a bleacher creature like me can appreciate. I'm sure that English-speaking hooligans across the world would appreciate some of our songs as well, my particular favorite being "[insert player's name here] is a horse's ass." )
TNH explains further:
The beauty part of this song is that it makes almost no sense. Mostly it just involves singing “na na na” over and over again, which is great because it's fun to sing, and it cuts out the part where you try to remember the lyrics and can't. If you're not singing “na na nah”, you're singing “vindaloo” to the same beat, or “na na nah vindaloo na na nah vindaloo”, which is also fun.
Bouncy, boozy singing is nearly guaranteed to pique my interest. And you really can't do better than this one.
I also don't want to talk about the Yankee game. WTF, wankers? *facepalm*
