I sincerely hope that everyone and anyone who was bitching about winter being too warm is happy now. It was NINETEEN DEGREES FARENHEIT (that's -7 Centigrade!!!) when I left the house this morning. Thankfully, I was properly bundled, but I am still freezing. Mostly because they can't seem to be arsed to heat this building properly.
I successfully managed to do a very good workout in my living room last night. This is encouraging, even though I'm planning on hitting the gym tonight anyway (no cardio equipment at home, really). I would have loved to go ice skating instead, but it's just a wee bit below my comfort zone out there. Maybe I can go during lunch tomorrow - apparently the Rockefeller center rink is only $5 during weekday lunch (well, Mon-Thurs 11:30-1 anyway), and I have my own skates to bring and everything. I'm only sorry I didn't get to go to Bryant Park much this year, but not very. I still have to try the Wollman Rink and Prospect Park (in addition to Rock Center).
Thinking about ice probably isn't the wisest thing to do right now, all told. I keep thinking about the lunch I made, which promises to be really good (particularly the salmon salad with dill and cilantro and the tomato soup).
I had a good weekend, too. As
blergeatkitty mentioned, I got a silver medal in pants (she won the Gold) this weekend (two really nice pairs for $10 each) at Uniqlo, and this coming weekend should be a festival of awesome as well, as I have plans with Meg on Friday and will be meeting Carly & Tim's new puppy on Saturday and hanging out in Jersey with them. Good times are definitely ahead!
