Sep. 26th, 2007 02:38 pmI just got back from buying the new Supernatural: Origins. Excitement!! Does anyone know if this is just a six-issue arc, or if there's going to be more?
The new Buffy comes out next week, the same week Supernatural begins. I hereby declare next week to be Fangirl Week! ::squee::
My walk to Midtown Comics was delayed by El Shrubbo's motorcade. Complete with an ENTIRE car of NYPD officers carrying gigantic fuck-off automatic rifles and another car hosting a pack of very large, very scary Secret Servicemen. (Although one looked like Adam Baldwin, which kind of made my day). They weren't letting anyone cross anywhere near the car was stopped, either. Insanity. Didn't see the Shrub himself, as I had things to do and didn't feel like waiting around to see his dumb face. But then I got the comic and some soup, and all was well.
Last night I got to see my Uncle (whom I haven't seen in 2-3 years), my Aunt, and their 5-year-old daughter, Julia. Last time I saw the kid, she was small and not very verbal. Now she's very verbal and rambunctious and kid-like. Very tall and thin for her age, and a very good-looking kid. :) It was a little crazy, and I got a little conversation in with my Uncle and Aunt, but most of the evening was involved with kid wrangling. Still, it was good to see them. I wish they didn't live in Minnesota, but someone has to live there, I suppose. Heh.
Tonight is another trip to the gym, then Gossip Girl. I'm dvring Private Practice and The Bionic Woman. I'm expecting the former to suck and hoping that the latter won't. Is anyone planning to watch Dirty Sexy Money? My personal jury is out on that one. And I still have tv from last night to watch (NCIS, Bones and House.) All cliffhangers in some way.
The problem with this time of year is that there are so many things to choose from, and you have no idea what's going to stick, either with you or with the network.
At least I have something to distract me from the Yankees. Le sigh. (FIVE RUN LEAD! HOW DID THEY BLOW A FIVE RUN...I just. There are not words.)
