Happy Friday Things

Top 5 Things bringing a smile to my face today:

1. Memories of last night's Ugly Betty. With every passing episode, I love Marc and Amanda more and more. And as I said to New Orleans Girl this morning, I would love to see these two in their own special tv movie. I don't want them to leave Ugly Betty, I like them *on* Ugly Betty, but I think it would be awesome if they got their own little two-hour adventure (Paris fashion week, perhaps? A misadventure at New York Fashon week, told in real time, about a problem getting some event together? Them having lunch and bitching about everything? I'd watch that for two hours). And as long as the same creative team was involved, it could even be awesome. ::nod::

2. Top shelf snark.

3. The fact that it's FRIDAY! (thank the tiny baby Jesus)

4. Ice skating after work. I went yesterday and again marveled how the stress and annoyance just vanished after a couple of laps. Although, I'm quickly discovering that many people skate and walk the same way. There are shufflers, and amblers and others who take too frigging long to get anywhere. There are the ones who come at you sideways, paying no attention to where they or anyone else is going, and the ones who stop short and seem amazed that there are people who crash into them when they do. I'm getting better and better at avoiding them, though, especially with more practice.

5. My fab new haircut (pictures will be posted as soon as I can upload them to Flickr).

EDIT: I know this makes it six, and I don't care, but I now have 2 tickets to see Magnetic Fields in February! Woo!!
