I really haven't moved since I woke up this morning. It's freezing and windy outside and there's a Torchwood marathon on BBC America, so there's really no reason to move. Except maybe hunger. I am hungry right now, and I have to somehow wrangle something to eat, and I have no idea what I want, really. So that's a problem. I also need to go grocery shopping, but that requires going outside, and I'm not so sold on that as a concept at the moment. I'm feeling so...lazy today. Maybe I ought to go with that.

I managed to solve the hunger problem with some help from the cupboard. Torchwood is marvelous, though I am taking a break this hour, since I've seen this episode already. I should have enough of a background to start watching from Season 1. I was mistaken - I thought that the marathon would be the entire first season, instead it's episodes 7-13 (starting from "Greeks Bearing Gifts"). I've already seen "Day One" and "Ghost Machine," but if anyone knows of a way short of waiting for Netflix that I could get ahold of "Everything Changes," "Cyberwoman," "Small Worlds," or "Countrycide," I'd be grateful. All of my favorite Torrent sites seem to have gone poof, and I can't even get it from Itunes.

I had a marvelous time last night while I was out with [livejournal.com profile] redesigner and friends. [livejournal.com profile] redesigner & I grabbed a quick dinner at Rickshaw Dumpling Bar, dropped by to say a quick hello to my friend Michaela, who was having a party to celebrate her 13th anniversary of moving to New York. After a brief appearance, we headed over to Karaoke 17, and found something incredible. It was empty. Completely, and totally empty. We didn't have any wait to put in our songs, and it was after 9:30. As a result, we got to sing a lot more than we were expecting to. I tried out a couple of new songs. Some I may add to my regular repertoire, but some others are best forgotten, and not mentioned. (I guess Rule #1 of karaoke is to remember your limits, and that what sounds good with your ipod on while washing the dishes may not sound that good on a mic live.) Being added to my regular karaoke roster is Fiona Apple's "Criminal," and Lisa Loeb's "Stay (I Missed You)." Then we met up with some of [livejournal.com profile] redesigner and hopped through some massively crowded bars. I got home around two, but was up past three watching The Painted Veil again. I'd really love it if Cinemax would choose to start that movie before midnight just once, btw.

Now I have to decide if I want to watch the episode of Torchwood due on in 20 minutes or if...who am I kidding? Of course, Torchwood. Captain Jack, you own me, even though I'm not your type. (Call me anyway, we can go shopping or something.)
