Man, I am so proud of myself. This weekend was awesome in terms of productivity. If I'd had drawers to put papers in, I'd be completely unpacked. Since I don't, I still have three boxes. I also need to find a place to hide put my photo albums, but I'll find a place for those in due time. Still, pictures are up, closet is organized, books are on shelves, and I'm typing this from my desk. Like I said, proud of me.

I also found time to watch some movies that I had from the library (Adam's Rib and Pat & Mike, two old Hepburn-Tracy films I hadn't seen. Rib was awesome, Pat & Mike hasn't aged all that well.)

On Valentine's Day, J took me out to a fantastic restaurant called Kurve. I still have to type up my yelp review, but the food was awesome, the prix fix was offered, not forced (and a good deal), and everything was superb, particularly the cocktails. Methinks that some upcoming dinner plans will be steered here. It was a lovely evening, with a swinging jazz band that I'd love to introduce to the organizers of Dances of Vice, and many, many presents. Dear God, that man spoils me. Not only did I get a whole bagload of Clinique, he ALSO got me a pair of noise-canceling headphones that I've only wanted for like, forever. (This is not including the box of chocolate he got me the night before). There was much squeeing. I'll let him talk about his V-day experience. :)

Sunday was more unpacking and a fairly eventful trip to Target. The Brooklyn College location remains superior to Atlantic, but getting home on the bus with a granny cart full of heavy things was shenanegains personified. Oof. After that, though, I successfully roasted a chicken for the very first time. [livejournal.com profile] j_bkl insists it was tasty, and as a fellow eater, I have to agree I didn't completely screw it up. Then we watched the L-Word, and I got to yell obscenities at Jenny for an hour. Fun.

Today I went into the city. I made a stop in Chinatown for some bakery treats, a stop at Bed Bath & Beyond for hooks and hangers of different varieties, and popped by to visit [livejournal.com profile] quasisonic, who had to work today. All in all, it was eventful. But I do feel quite accomplished at everything that I've gotten done, and I feel nicely settled in.

Too bad I have to go back to work tomorrow. I was getting used to this whole "sleeping past 9 thing." Alas. (Well, not completely. I'm happy that I *have* a job to go to tomorrow. Eep. Let no suggestion exist to the contrary!)
