offbalance: (road trip)
Today is our last day.  I wish we were staying longer.

The Bed & Breakfast we're staying at is run by two genuinely warm, hilarious, wonderful men who make me feel like I'm staying with fabulous uncles rather than a sort of hotel.  It includes a hot breakfast every morning, and believe me, J and I have not missed one yet.

We've walked up and down Commercial Street dozens of times.  We've done some shopping (including <lj user="blergeatkitty">'s bday present and presents for others), and so. much. eating.   P-town is a land of plenty, and there are good places to eat every time you look around.  We've hiked to the top of the Pilgrim Memorial Tower, and had our feet nearly ripped to shreds by the rock quarry they call a beach over at Herring Cove (the clothed beach, though).   I've even had time to begin the mountain of studying that will be my everyday existence now that I've started the Paralegal program.  All good things.

In a little while, when our friends return, we're going to hike up to the East End and check out even MORE galleries.   We may go to a drag show tonight, or we might do something else.  Not sure.   I hate that we have to pack our things and leave, but such is life. I have tomorrow to travel, Tuesday to re-adjust some and start school, and Wednesday to return to work (joy).   At the moment, though, I have ganked internet on a second-floor balcony that overlooks a beautiful garden, sea air in my lungs, and a blue sky overhead.   I really can't complain about that.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekends!
