Granted, Aslan's resurrection in Wardrobe was a pretty heavy allusion, but somehow the allusions in that movie felt less heavy handed than they did. Also? In terms of storytelling, it felt really choppy and disorganized.
Yeah, the Resurrection is pretty obvious, but it also has the bonus of being AWESOME.
I never had any particular interest in seeing the Caspian movie, but rereading the book I was wondering how they were gonna turn it into a movie, 'cause the book opens with the Pevensies getting pulled back to Narnia -- which makes sense as a dramatic hook of an opening, but then there's the extended flashback to explain what's happened to Narnia in the interim, so I wondered if they were gonna do the movie the same way or if they would open the movie with Caspian and not bring in the Pevensies until Caspian blows the Horn.
