First of all: When the hell did it become practice for people to attack a friend for a slight facetious comment? Maybe it wasn't perfectly crystal clear to all of you that she was kidding around, but that's the way she is and i would've assumed you all knew that.
None of us think that because we are women we have to maintain certain requirements of appearance, but because of personal preference and in growing up female, there are things that some of us do that we might not have grown up doing had we been born male.
Granted, its easy to misunderstand comments made online, tone and expression are lost in the typed word, but i would think people would understand that you can't take everything so seriously. its not like it was a speech outlining the downfall of the feminine look.
Finally: i am also curious why someone felt the need to be anonymous, if you're going to say something, at least take credit for it.
