Dear Wise and Wonderful LJ Genie:

I have two problems in need of solving.

Firstly, and most pressing is my alarm clock situation. My decade-old cd-clock-radio gave up the ghost during the move, and since then I've been relying on both my phone and [livejournal.com profile] j_bkl's Insignia Ipod-dock-clock-radio jobbers. I like his clock a lot, and wouldn't mind one of my own, but I was wondering what you all use for your "get the hell out of bed already" needs. (I also want one on my side that I can set and all that business. One that can be seen when you are without your glasses is also welcome). I'm really disliking using my phone for this for many reasons (mostly being that I want a snooze button I can literally hit when the device does me the injury of waking me up).

Secondly, I can't frigging get LoudTwitter to work no matter what I do. I've had an account for ages, and I've been trying to get the @#$%&*& thing to work, but to borrow a hilarious phrase I heard this morning, this dog will not hunt, monsignor. Can you either tell me what I'm doing wrong, or!, if I know you well enough, perhaps I will throw my LT login and password at you and have you fix whatever's wrong with the dang thing.

Thanks much in advance!

Also, I need to take a moment and wish my dear [livejournal.com profile] dotfic a VERY happy birthday. I know she'll be happy to know that [livejournal.com profile] j_bkl is doing everything within his power to hook me on Friday Night Lights

Tonight I'll also be celebrating [livejournal.com profile] ozzdo's birthday (observed). So that should be lots of good times.

[livejournal.com profile] lwoodbloo and I just stuffed ourselves ridiculous with DELICIOUS Indian Buffet food, from a new place near my work. NOM. I would say that I plan to eat again Tuesday evening, except I'm going out for Dimsum tomorrow afternoon.

Me: It's nuts! It's like the food olympics or something this weekend!
[livejournal.com profile] lwoodbloo: CHARIOTS OF FIRE!!! *sings theme and runs in slow motion*

(that needed to be preserved for posterity.)

Dear LJ Genie:
I need a reliable, reputable, competent source for data recovery from a hard drive. Said HD is spinning and does not seem to be corrupted beyond the fact that the circuit boards that allow it to communicate with the motherboard to not be functioning. More than anything, I'd prefer a place that's not going to charge as much or more as my laptop cost. Can you help?

Love and Hope,
Sharon

In happier news, I called Time Warner and I am now set up for wireless in my apartment on my laptop. I don't understand, nor do I remember, how I used to function when it was desk or nothing. And it's been less than a week!!! It's still funny - it feels off somehow, like this isn't a "real" computer (even though it is, obviously).

Mmm. Tired. Bed now.
