I did the quiz twice, and am not sure which of the two possibilities apply to me more. Sometimes I think I'm more outwardly violet, but inwardly witchbaby. Hmmm.

also: [livejournal.com profile] newuniverse, if you don't know what I'm talking about, get thee to a library hence and pick up a copy of either Dangerous Angels or Weetzie Bat, Witch Baby, Cherokee Bat & The Goat Guys, Missing Angel Juan, and Baby BeBop, to be read in that order. (Dangerous Angels is a collection of all those books in one).

And then of course there's Violet and Claire since Sharon got Claire, and I Was a Teenage Fairy and Ecstasia and Primavera and Nymph (I forget if i've erad those last 2, actually.).

do you have ecstasia and primavera? can i borrow them? i read really, really fast and i'll treat them like gold and next-day mail them back to you!!!

(realising that all this begging is making me look cheap...*smirk*)

I don't actually own any FLB, but i'm all about interlibrary loan. My library doesn't own Ecstasia or Primavera, but i can get them for you. I'm all about spreading happy goodness, so i'll reques them via interlibrary loan and they'll arrive while i'm in NYC and then i'll pick them up when i get back and mail them right off to you.

Gee i sound like i'm about to start a courier service or something, huh? This honestly constitutes just about no trouble for me at all, though.

wow...how generous! Especially since those books are retailing at like, $105 on Amazon. wooo.

I had stopped believing that those books actually existed.
From: [identity profile] hermionesviolin.livejournal.com
Wow. Damn. And i didn't even think Ecstasia was that amazing (haven't read Primavera).

I don't know if it's a matter of quality so much as rarity, yanno? They're impossible to find!

also, where in the hell is that quote from? It's so familiar. I wanna say, 'This Year's Girl,' but I don't think it is...
From: [identity profile] hermionesviolin.livejournal.com
Well yeah, i definitely figured it was a matter of rarity over quality.

The quote is from a commercial i saw last night on The World's Greatest Commercials. When i saw it i thought of the bit from "This Year's Girl," though. (And of course, as obsessive Research Girl i had to look it up. It's below, 'cause i know you care.)

Faith: Anyway, for real now. I wanna ask you something, and I want you to promise to be honest, and to not spare my feelings just because I could kill you. You promise?
Joyce: I promise.
Faith: OK. How do I look?
Joyce: Psychotic.
Faith: Mmm. I was shooting for sultry, but hey.

I would actually suggest Girl Goddess #9 and I was a Teenage Fairy before Hanged Man. I didn't finish The Rose & the Beast yet, and I didn't really liked Hanged Man for some reason. Maybe because I found it too depressing, but I don't remember liking it really at all.

Still, I have a longstanding dream to turn Missing Angel Juan into a movie...using many of the techniques employed by Wim Wenders in Wings of Desire and Faraway, So Close.

Hey...

I've been pretty all over FLB for about 4 years now, but any of that series.

BTW: My favorite is I was a teenage Fairy, which you all must read...NOW!!!

Wheeee! I am SO happy to hear that. And Teenage Fairy is one of my favorites as well, but nothing could ever top the two Witch Baby books (Witch Baby and Missing Angel Juan) for me.

(ps = what do you mean, but any of that series? have you not read those?)
