"Army of Me" by Bjork is one of the greatest songs in the world to walk down the street to:
and if you complain once more...you'll meet an army of me.
It makes me feel like an action hero or something. ;)
mmmmmmmmmmmmmm....New England Clam Chowder. So nice. Especially since my office is SO COLD!!
The building's heat is broken. I am the opposite of pleased. Other bad things that have happened today include Boss L losing a stone from her ring that she just got a few months ago and me getting lots of annoying inquiries that could be solved easily if these people ever looked properly. *grumble*
Also: thanks to
lauralatham for announcing that the No Doubt/Blink 182 tour is announcing tentative Summer dates at Jones Beach, PNC Bank Arts Center, and the Hammerstein Ballroom!!! (

Anyway, it's survey time again, boys and girls! Below are my answers to the dashing
lwoodbloo's questions. Want me to interview you? Just ask.
1) Does it hurt to be that dorky?
:P I dunno, you tell me. *snaps*
1a) Jeez, I've insulted everyone today. Don't pay that one any mind. Best undiscovered culinary treat in the old 'hood?
The gyro at the Oasis restaurant on Flatbush & Quentin. Still one of the very best I've ever had. Also, Original's (the one on Ralph Avenue) Supreme Pizza (their words, but I concur). In my opinion, it kicks DiFara's square in the keester, and I'm willing to put them up to a taste test.
2) define "snarky".
It's a combination of smart-ass and sarcastic. The kind of thing that the quote : "If you don't have anything nice to say, come sit by me," suggests.
3) I have an orange hollow plastic pumpkin on my desk. What confection should I hide in there when I want something yummy?
hmmm. Well. You have all sorts of options. Personally, I'm a big fan of Hershey's miniatures and reese's mini peanut butter cups, so I'd reccomend buying one bag of each, combine in pumpkin, and shake well. :)
4) Musically, what makes you jump up and down and want to scream? In a good way.
Huh. Well, I rediscovered the Clash last night, thanks to my recent acquisition of their 'essentials' collection. Ditto with Stevie Wonder - if he doesn't do your soul good, I'm not sure that you have one...there are also a couple of U2 tracks that make me wanna howl. Many of my favorites are the kind of music that makes me exhale in that special way. ;)
5) What newspaper item have you clipped and saved? I have an article about Zevon from when "keep me in your heart for a while" came out on VH1, and Drazen Petrovic's obit.
Oh jeez...what haven't I? Let's see: I have stuff clipped from when I wrote for the Albany Student Press. Back in my U2-fangirl heyday I had an entire FILE of every one of their press clippings that I laid eyes on. Nowadays I also pull things out of Time Out New York that are worth saving - articles about cool events/people/etc.
