Sorry for the lack of posting, but it's been crazy. I've recovered from my plague, done some Christmas shopping, plan to do more, and most importantly, I bought my laptop.
That's right folks - Wednesday night, after a bit of fatherly hand-holding, I managed to purchase a shiny new Dell Inspiron Laptop. Oh, and she's a beauty. I'm still trying to wrap my mind around the fact that I'll soon have a LAPTOP with a 160 GB hard drive, but all I can do is sit here and marvel about the marvelous advances in technology. quasisonic, I got a pretty nifty discount on the as-yet-unnamed computer, too. I've decided that maybe the curse stems from the Harry Potter nomenclature I'd been using (the last problem computer was the first Harry Packard, and the most recently deceased was Hermione, then after a new hard drive, Phoenix! Hermione). So I need something better. I was contemplating naming it after a muse or possibly a goddess. A few names are being considered, and since everyone loves a lunchtime poll, I'll put it to a vote (I've added links to all their names, in case you're not the Greek Myth nerd that I am):

Now for some more work and then lunch. During which I have to get my finishing touches for tonight's festivities. Hopefully I'll have time for some spam later.
