Achtung Baby, how do I love thee, let me count the ways...

I swear, this album is REQUIRED listening. It just improves your life. Makes you smarter and better looking. (okay, maybe that's an exaggeration on the looks end...) But it's incredible! Why release something called 'best of' when it's clear that your very best ever is this one disc? The very reason I am the rabid U2 fan that I am today? *swoon*

Mysterious Ways. I listen and I am still a drooling 14-year-old hormone bomb at the very sound of Bono's voice. #1 and still champion on my list of celebrities that my significant other will just have to understand about, were I to ever get the opportunity.

speaking of being a rabid fan....Buffy tonight? Quel Superb! I for one have got a theory. It's a demon! A dancing demon, no something isn't right there...

in all seriousness, stellar. I think that Willow is going to be the Big Gun this year, as opposed to the Big Bad. Why else would the Big Bad be so eager to get rid of her? (also, nasty trick with Tara. really).

ABOUT FUCKING TIMEBuffy went into therapy. Seriously. I love the girl, but she could really use a good shrink. Shame she had to stake the guy. He might have proved useful. (but then again, there was the whole bloodthirsty part.)

Speaking of bloodthirsty....SPIKE?!?!?! Holy crap!

And Jonathan!! meep!! Poor Jonathan!! *sniff*

I was also hoping Dawn was going to get dead. but alas, to no avail. but I am glad to hear that Buffy has finally wised up and will NOT be helping her. heeehee. ("WHEN are you people going to finally understand that I hate you all?") At least there was finally mention of the Scrappy Gang again. (she was on the phone with Kit). Still, it was awesome to see Joyce, although I wonder if it was her, if she really came to warn Dawn, or if it was the Big Bad at it again.

Such a good episode. :) wow.

My favorite U2 line of lyrics-- Every poet is a cannibal/Every artist is a thief/You kill what you created/and sing about the grief.

Which song is that in?

The material on All That You Can't Leave Behind is also really good. Kite makes me want to cry.

the line is:
"every artist is a cannibal, every poet is a thief. All kill their inspiration, and sing about their grief."
(unless you're referencing a live version, and Bono changes things round all the damn time in those!)
it's my favorite line too, and it's from "The Fly"
for some reason, it always made me think of Billy Corgan. (dunno why).

Yes! I wanted to cry, too! And the first time I heard "Stuck in a Moment You can't get out of" it completely floored me. I was very pleased with that album as a whole. Just because you get back to basics, doesn't mean you can't grow in other ways. Yay for concentration on [really good] lyrics, which used to be a hallmark of U2, and is again!!
