Ugh.

So, as I previously may have mentioned, I have a sinus infection. Thankfully, the head/face pain and all the other sundry fun seemed to start clearing up immediately after I started taking the antibiotics. Huzzah! Also, for once, the antibiotics didn't completely mess up my stomach and turn me into an enemy of solid food.

Unfortunately, this week, I've been feeling like a draggy, tired zombie. Everything aches. Everything. I feel as sore as someone training for a triathalon, yet I've been doing anything but. The best way I can describe it is to compare it to The Little Mermaid - not the singing Disney redhead, but the original Hans Christian Andersen one. The Sea Witch said to her that walking on land would be like treading on knives. That's kind of how it feels. It's not pain, it's just this weird nebulous soreness that my physical therapist hypothesized on Friday was most likely due to me being sick. "Your body gets sick, too," she said, "Your muscles and joints feel it just as much as whatever else in your body is sick. Staying hydrated helps, but all you can do is get better."

Sometimes being a little active helps the sore, so went to the gym on Monday. My last PT appointment was Friday (YAY!) and one of the ways I can keep myself out of PT are regular workouts. The little workout program I had for PT worked great in the PT setup, but requires a little tweaking for my gym. No matter. The gym is also undergoing a major renovation and now has huge, beautiful locker rooms with plenty of space for all. A++. I just have to bring a few pieces of my own equipment in order to do the stretches in PT.

Today I just wanted to lay in bed. And sleep. A lot. But I dragged myself in. *sigh* Good thing I have a bunch of stuff to do that doesn't require too much brain. Blech. I can deal with being sick, but I hate being this crappy almost-sick, where you don't feel quite yourself but you don't really feel badly enough to call out. Ugh.

In better news, I get to pick up my new glasses tomorrow! Yay! And hopefully see Scott Pilgrim on Friday.
