YEAH! for Randy Newman. SIXTEEN previous nominations!! Unbelievable. I was really happy for him, even though I really wanted Sting to win for "Until"

But yeah for Ron Howard, who was overlooked almost as much.

and okay, i was happy Halle Berry won and all, history and yadda yadda, but I wanted Nicole Kidman & Russell Crowe to win, I'm sorry. And I wanted Moulin Rouge to win. but twas not to be. I'm extroadinarily happy for Ron Howard, who deserved an oscar for his directorial ability long ago.

Can I just say how absolute frigging ODD it is that I'm now calling places to recieve names of counties that were halls all over Indian, State, Colonial and Dutch Quads? What a world.
