Okay, so on the train this morning, after I got a seat at DeKalb (yeah! *pumps arm*) I noticed A Cute Guy (well, not major league cute, but certainly a AAA Minors Club cute)reading Robinson Crusoe in front of me. So, well dressed. 20s. No rings. Reading literature. After two or three stops went by I finally gathered up my courage and said, "So, how do you like the book?"

In a thick Russian accent, heavily laced with boredom, he replied "Eh, it's alright I guess." Then said nothing more after that." *hand*staple*forehead*

If not for my daily, witty repartee with Al the Cute Security Guard, I'd be wondering if I had any flirting skills to speak of. *sigh*.

Also: [livejournal.com profile] quasisonic, I am really trying to like the protagonist of Confessions of a Shopaholic, but I find myself flooded with the desire to hit her with a large, heavy object. (Sorry, but if I got a $900 visa bill, the LAST thing I would do is to go and spend $120 more on a cashmere fucking scarf! $120!! For.a.scarf!! *shakes head*)

oooh...the guy in the office near mine went to the OPERA with his wife on Saturday! *swoon* I'd love to go to the opera someday. At the Met. All dressed up. Like in Moonstruck!
(speaking of Opera, does anyone else wanna go and see the Baz Luhrmann production of La Boheme that's coming to broadway with me?)

And look! a quiz! )
