Never underestimate the capacity for human stupidity

Okay, so apparently a box of contracts that we've been waiting to get back for a few weeks was delivered. But not to where it was supposed to go (or to whom, to be completely accurate).

They showed us the sign sheet. There is a signature. Not of our department. So now, the box is currently unaccounted for.

What really salts my margarita is thus: I was HERE the day they claimed to deliver it. It's not like it was the following week, when I was plague-ridden. At most, I was away for my desk for about 20 minutes around lunchtime. It wasn't the regular guy who delivered it, he knows me & my boss and would have made sure it got to the right place. Now the whole department is turning upside down (well, they were, at any rate) to look for this box, which possibly wasn't even properly delivered. AAAGH!!

I'm sort of nervous about the box. But (for once), I was NOT the one who screwed up here. GAH!
