offbalance: (just me)
BAH. When I start getting excited about hearing that temperature might make it UP TO 28 degrees, there is something VERY VERY wrong going on. *sigh*

I forgot my lunch today >_<. Arrgh. Guess I'll have to decide where to buy something. Soup will be involved in some way, that's a certainty. I just have to decide where I'm eating and what I'll be having. There's a place next door that I tried for soup yesterday, seemed decent enough (especially pricewise) but there's a place I pass every day on my trip to work that I'm ever-curious about, so this may be the time to try it. (And there's always Pret A Manger, whose lovely little triangle boxes and sandwich selections make me think of London, but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for a sandwich today).
(also need to run some errands, but MUST spend some time OUTSIDE of this office. Seriously. I hate being kept in by the cold).

All that aside, I am SO tired. Had fun with Theresa last night at the freeview screening - got to meet the hispanic Jay & Silent Bob! I am SO serious. One was large and did not speak, the smaller guy wore a black knit hat and didn't shut up. AND he was funny as hell with an outrageous sense of humor. Snootchie Bootchies! The best part was that J&SB saved us from having to sit next to a splinter cell of the DUMBEST group of high-pitched 14-year-old ninnies I've had the misfortune of being exposed to - the other 4 in their group were up in the last row with J&SB, before J&SB couldn't take it any more and traded seats with the other 2 girls, thus reuniting (and thankfully, lowering the volume of) the fashion club. *shudder* After that, Theresa & I bonded with Jay over the 'Mall Squad,' theater seats, and free movies. Afterwards, T and I went to O'Lunney's for dinner - and I'm really sure that I've found a new Times Square eatery that ISN'T a stupid chain and DOESN'T suck ass. (However, my chicken nugget craving is still very much at large).

A review of How to Lose a Guy in Ten Days will be posted at [livejournal.com profile] goyouhuskies shortly. (and yes. I realized I haven't reviewed Chicago yet. I will, I swear! I'm not bothering with TTT. It's just redundant at this point, given the membership on GYH.)

Perhaps a piecemeal lunch? Soup from one place, nuggets from McD, a salad from somewhere else...hmm...it's an idea, anyway.

Okay okay! *cracks whip at self* MUST go back to work now.

(AND stay off of AIM today. Really. I have to!)

also: thanks to a conversation between Kate and others, TATU's "all the things she said" is now running through MY head. *whimpers*. If the song wasn't so repetitive, I might not want to stab out my eye with my purple-ink-stained scissors right now..

offbalance: (bunnies!)
So I forgot my lunch today. The debate is now on as to what to have:

Ego: I'm not really in the mood for anything too fancy or spicy. I would like soup to be part of it. Perhaps soup and a sandwich?

Superego: Good Idea. I'd say salad, but I'm not sure I'm in the mood for that either. It's a bit cold. Maybe soup and an entree of some sort from the cafe next door?

ID: NO! NUGGETS! WE WANTSES NUGGETSES!!!

Superego: Certainly not! Now, quit talking like Gollum or no dessert!

ID: fine. *sulks* BUT NUGGETS! AND FRIES!!! AND PRETTY NEW FLATS IN THE WINDOW AT NINE WEST!!!

me: *sigh* it's going to be a loooong day.

also: It's time to narrow your focus and get those powers of concentration in line. Don't feel pressured into making a decision -- you still have time before this window of opportunity closes.
What, me, concentrate? What are TPTB thinking?
