Tru, Beauty, Freedom and Love

Last night I treated myself - I had a $10 off coupon from the Gap that expired today, so I headed over there to see if I could use it, and I got some nice stuff - two sleeveless tops for when it starts to get really warm out, a polo that was on sale in a great color, and a very nice black pencil skirt that I tried on a lark and impressed me greatly.

After finishing at the Gap, I went over to the salon I used to pass (when I got off the train at 55th street) everyday, and got an eyebrow wax and a manicure! I hadn't gotten one in ages, but it was fun. I picked out this shiny pink color called "Italian Romance," but it was a little pinker than I expected. One of these days I'm probably just going to have them fix up my nails and have them put no color on just to see what it's like. I liked what I saw on the other women at the driers who had that done - it looked really well on them, and I have nice nails, so. Maybe next time.

I picked up some Lo mein at this great little hole in the wall Chinese place by my train stop. I actually watched them slice some pork and throw some noodles in a wok and make the dish - it was fascinating. And delicious!!

After that, I headed home to watch the season finale of Tru Calling (which I only misesd the first 15 minutes of).

Thank God it's Friday. Ooh, that reminds me - I must ask Boss T for next Friday as a personal day! *rubs hands together*

And now I'm going to hope that my aspirin kicks in soon so I can get to my beloved scanning. Ugh. Only a few more hours...
