Jun. 25th, 2004 10:41 amDear LJ:
Kindly stop sucking. I would like to read my friends page, if it's all the same to you. Thanks.

Shaddup, you whiney git. I let you post comments now. That should be plenty.

The bar in which our sci-fi group met yesterday had a special on $3 margaritas, and I couldn't resist. I had two. I didn't even feel that drunk, either (maybe a wee bit after I stood up) so exactly why the United Federation of Hippos Marching Band has called for a rehearsal this morning is completely beyond me. Tequila, thou art my love and damnation. Even so, every meeting of the Sci-Fi book club that I attend is more fun than the last, as this is one of those rare occassions of chemistry that just produces lots of good times. Plus, the next book is something I'm pretty excited about reading: Oryx & Crake by Margaret Atwood. (and OtherJ has lent me copies of The Watchmen and V is for Vendetta, after a long conversation about Sandman and graphic novels and a great special on the History Channel about comic books (as well as my revelation that I'd never read any Alan Moore. He says that after I read these 2, he's going to lend me some Frank Miller.)
I'm also slightly tired because when I got out of the shower last night, I had a totally irresistable compulsion to watch an episode and a half of season one Sex & the City, specifically "Valley of the Twentysomething Guys," and half of "The Power of Female Sex" (easily one of my favorite S1 eps). The thing I love the most about this show is that the older I get, the better it gets, and the more I relate to it. I should also start my plan to rewatch the entire run of Buffy, starting from the beginning one of these days. SATC is easier, because they're only 1/2 an hour, but I'm definitely starting to miss Buffy.
Two hours and fifteen minutes remain until I get to leave and have lunch with the incredibly fabulous
blergeatkitty and
teany at Django, so until then I'll do whatever work I can (it's sooooo quiet here today, and I'm not feeling particularly ambitious)
( Friday Fiver )
