Before I begin - *waves arms frantically* [livejournal.com profile] aprilmourning & [livejournal.com profile] 0ceanangel!! I submitted my [livejournal.com profile] digitalbrooklyn article monday evening and have heard nary a peep from y'all. Have you gotten it??

First and foremost - leopard-print wishes to [livejournal.com profile] leopard_lady, who is celebrating the anniversary of her birth today. Hope it's a grand one, and enjoy the time with your boy!!

And tomorrow is [livejournal.com profile] jackalprey's birthday, so a big Happy Birthday!! to him as well, one of the last true gentlemen in the world (and no, I'm not just saying that for all of the rides home. ;D) . May the birthday fairy leave a shiny new red mini cooper with 10 years of insurance paid off in your driveway.

No, I didn't see the Yankee game last night. I was out. Yeah, yeah, shush. :p

For those who give a damn about restaurants, B and I had dinner at Florent in the meatpacking district last night. Apparently he'd been going there for years before the area got so trendy (which he was griping about) and so we had burgers and watched ENORMOUS bowls of mussels go by. Neither of us were hungry enough for their 3-4 course price fix (under $20 before 7:30, and $21 all night long), but I plan on trying that next time that I go. I also got to walk by Pastis, which was featured prominently in the Season 6 episode of Sex & the City "The Cold War." (didn't seem too impressive). It was my first trip into that area, and I liked what I saw, for the most part. B went on a bit about how he thought the entire city should still be covered in cobblestones instead of asphalt. I told him that he was born in the wrong century. He made a face at me.

Ugh. Where does the day go? I have to run now, and do a few things before I have lunch w/Carly around 1ish.

But, last and saddest - R.I.P. to Marlon Brando, dead at 80. :/
