Insert clever cooking pun here.

aprilmourning!
I just ganked this icon from
wendywoowho, because I loved it so muchly. (Wendy, if you have a problem with it, I'll take it down post-haste, but it's the best AB icon I've seen possibly ever, so I was hoping I could share. I kept forgetting to ask you about it.)
I was feeling mostly better and decided to make myself some food. There was a pack of chicken in the fridge that needed some cooking, so most of it went into a stir fry, and I made a few chicken cutlets with the rest. They're great in salads, on sandwiches, and just out of the fridge, cold, so I thought it might be good to have a few on hand. I now have about 7 million dishes to do, but it's worth it.
Also: From the "It's better to light a candle than curse the darkness" department: apparently there was a 2nd Avenue Deli Cookbook! Granted, it's not an ideal situation (and according to Carly those Maneschevitz mixes make great matzo balls) I'm still curious for their recipe. Now that the Deli may be gone for good [*sob*], I might as well cut my losses and get cooking. I'll be trying the versions made by Sarge's and the Stage Deli (Artie's makes excellent soup, but it's allllllll the way uptown! Not exactly convenient) to see if there's something comparable. But I should really learn how to make this, considering how important it is to me.
I've managed okay without it - the antibiotics my doctor gave me yesterday were good and strong, and have made me nice and loopy. I've had invitations to things and things I've wanted to do this week, but I don't want to overdo it. I have a (bad) feeling that rushing back into things were what made this cold into a sinus infection in the first place, so I don't want to take any chances or push myself too hard and ruin my weekend plans.
I have to remind myself that I'm still sick, and still need to be careful or else I overdo it. Starting to get loopy again...time to start getting ready to lay down.
