I should warn you...I go to sleep.
Apr. 6th, 2006 01:08 pmNarcolepsy has been hitting like a hammer today. I'm at my desk, staring at a contract, and then my eyelids start to get extremely heavy. Ugh. But I have been extremely productive, which feels good.
Also, I'm a total ditz. I went to my parents' last night after my allergy shot - we had a lovely visit and dinner, and then my mom was nice enough to help me color my hair again. Did I remember to ask her if she could trim my bangs, too? Of course not! I'm brilliant. :p
From the Boss Files: Today I decided some music would help me focus better on work (and I was right) so I fired up Pandora . Because I'm a nice, considerate person, I asked Boss T if the music was bothering him.
Boss T: No. What are you listening to, anyway?
Me: Pandora.com It's internet radio you can customize (shows him, explains a bit more about how Pandora works)
Boss T: Do they have all kinds of music on there?
Me: As far as I know.
Boss T: Well, I think I'll be blasting it out of my office pretty soon!
Hee. He also said that he got XM radio for a free trial when he got his new car, and loves it.
Speaking of Pandora, apparently a band called The Trouble with Sweeney did a funky, acoustic, disco-infused cover of McCartney (& Wings?) song "Listen to What the Man Said." I wasn't paying attention to what was on, and wound up singing along anyway. It's amazing what Lite-FM can do to you in your formative years.
I'm so interesting, aren't I?
This week has been the calmest flavor of crazy I've ever experienced. I don't know what's put me in this particular zen-like state, but I'm hoping it'll stick around for awhile. I've just been so calm and peaceful about everything since I got back from my vacation I'm even surprised at myself.
I keep daydreaming about taking a nap in a hammock. I wish I had one, although I don't believe you can use one in Prospect Park. More's the pity, I suppose. It's probably good for me anyhow - I can't imagine a hammock setup is something that would go well or easily for me, but I do love the idea of having one I could spend some time in. Maybe this is a side symptom of spring fever?
Speaking of which, I need my outdoors fix, stat.
