The Wedding Weekend

Congratulations to teany & selftoken, who got married this weekend in Southampton. It was a beautiful wedding, and the weather cooperated (thank God). teany walked down the aisle to this song, which I adored (I need to buy the White Album already, don't I? It's a huge hole in my Beatlemania.)

I also had the honor of reading a poem that I was asked to write for the occasion. ( This is it. )

The poem was a surprising success - people laughed and cried, and I was overwhelmed by compliments during the cocktail hour. (well, compliments and the rather tasty canapes that were floating around). I was really appreciative of all the well-wishes for me, I thought I'd barely register as part of the ceremony, but it was nice to know that it touched people. ::beams::

Tomorrow is back to work, overtime, and the start of a busy-ass week. Wish me luck, kiddies.
