Killing a bad mood.
Feb. 14th, 2007 12:09 amSo I was in a pretty bad mood today. Around 4:30 or so I figured out how I was going to correct this.
I:
Went home.
Ordered Thai delivery. And I went all out, too. I got an appetizer, chicken penang AND sticky rice. It was so exactly what I needed.
Parked myself on the couch and watched last week's Top Design, NCIS, and Veronica Mars
Ate some of the cookies that
quasisonic surprised me with
and read the issue of Time Out New York that my magical mailman delivered a day early. I'm supposed to get it Wednesday, but I have it right here. This isn't the first time, either. I once got an issue a whole WEEK early around Christmas time. That was brilliant.
Result: Bad mood is gone, for now.
Top Design is still meh. I like the concept execution and host better than Top Chef, but the contestants are kind of boring, and it really feels like Project Runway's redheaded stepchild. Still, that judge from Elle Decor is pretty cool, and I'll stick it out a little longer for Todd Oldham. Maybe.
I'm getting seriously fed up with Veronica Mars. While there's always a chance for the show to get another season, this may be my last as a viewer. The writing.just.sucks. I will keep my dvd sets of the two past seasons and that's all.
NCIS, though, remains my deliciously guilty pleasure. It's sooo far-fetched and escapist you can't take it too seriously. The characters are awesome, and the writers have figured out that you can be funny and serious, sometimes in the same episode. There's also a bumper crop of pretty, pretty men. Does anyone watch this besides me?
So all I have to do now is get into my bed and fall asleep (easily done). Tomorrow I may head to Borders to pick up Season 1 of How I Met Your Mother, since it's on sale this week for only $20. Such is my exciting life.
