Here are some weekend highlights, in chronological order:
1. On Friday night,
quasisonic asked me if we could watch this week's episode of Supernatural. I will have her hooked yet. ::rubs hands together:: Muahaha. Then we watched Moonlight, and snarked and laughed. (Really? The blonde chick is the WORST actress in the history of ever, and the lead guy isn't so hot either. Which they can usually fake their way around, but this week was HIGH DRAMA OMG, and their limitations were showing. At least it was amusing - that got us through the hour.)
2. Saturday I had a thwarted trip to the Green Market, but instead wound up at a record sale on some dude's stoop. I found some marvelous things, including a copy of The Rolling Stones' Sticky Fingers album with the real zipper cover (as well as a copy of Beggar's Banquet), The Band's Songs from Big Pink, Stevie Wonder's Songs in the Key of Life, as well as The Supremes Sing Funny Girl, and the soundtrack to the world-famous BeeGees/Peter Frampton cinematic abortion known as Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. (Naturally, I immediately texted
blergeatkitty to tell her of that acquisition.)
3. Saturday evening I had the opportunity to meet some LJ Snark luminaries live and in person, and had a wonderful time. It was lovely to see
makeitchemical and
mylaptopisevil again, and I'd also like to welcome
bronxelf_ag001 and
rubytramp aboard my crazy boat.
4. Today I had a marvelous time at brunch and Halloween shopping with
leopard_lady + Scott,
selftoken &
teany and
quasisonic. I got a few more elements for my costume, and was reminded about the unholy hell that is Halloween Adventure in late October. Still, I had fun with everyone.
I always intend to get to bed before 1 on Sunday. Why does that never happen, no matter how damn tired I am? Why?
