Lazy Saturday
Jun. 20th, 2009 07:56 pmToday was awesome. Today I did absolutely nothing, and it was everything I hoped it would be.
Well, I didn't do much, anyway. I took a book back to the library, browsed the Flatbush Food Co-Op, because unlike The People's Republic of Food Co-Op in Park Slope, they'll let you in and even shop there if you're not a member! Crazy! Then it started to pour and I went home.
angelicillusion was kind enough to provide me with a recipe for fried rice this week. I have gotten the hang of making decent rice in
j_bkl's rice cooker, but I made too much this time. So I tried the recipe, and since I had forgotten to eat until then, I ate a bunch of it. And it was delicious.
Then I laid around and stared at tv. I may have watched and really enjoyed a movie that was a sequel to another movie about 4 girls who share a pair of pants. And possibly enjoyed it as much as I did the previous film that I may or may not have seen. (But uh, yeah. If you're a fan of Sisterhood? It's so worth seeing.)
But that's about it. And you know what? It felt great. It's been a busy couple of weeks, and I needed a rest. Work was crazy all week (understandable for the time of year) and travel always knocks me out, so I was dragging by yesterday. But I got to see
redesigner, which is always excellent.
Now I am waiting for J to get home so I can get his input on dinner. I'll make something, even if it's a phone call.
