offbalance: (record)
On Monday, when [livejournal.com profile] redstapler reported seeing David Crosby in the Apple Store, I started re-writing "Ohio* in my head, so it was about a broken mac.
(“Keep trying but nothing’s loading/ I’m worried that there’s no hope/ First I sad mac’ed and now it’s griding/ I’m thinking the f-er’s broke!” )

Yesterday, Pat Kiernan reported that Bob Dylan wanted to be a voice for a GPS device.  Naturally, "Blowin in the Wind" popped into my head, again humorously altered.

(“How many roads, must this car drive down, before you get to the door? Oh, and how many turns, will I tell you to take, and then tell you to take more….”)

Now, as Gmail ads tell me that Dylan will be doing a charity Christmas album, the song of the day is:

"Oh, I ain't gonna work on Santa's farm no more!"

I think I may have finally snapped.

* yes, I realize that Kent State was serious and the song is serious, too. I have no idea why my brain settled on that one, instead of "Our House" or "Teach your Children."
