quasisonic and I discuss the ALCS:

Me: I knew we weren't going to sweep, so I'm trying to be reasonable about this. Trying.

quasisonic: Glad you're being reasonable. But it did suck, though.

Me: It did suck, and Girardi made some genuinely boneheaded moves. But Tonight is another game, y/y?

quasisonic: Didn’t he like, put in a pitcher and take him right out again? Tonight IS another game. No doubt the loss will fire them up!

Me: I didn’t really watch after Dad texted me on my ride home that it was tied 3-3. THEY HAD A THREE RUN LEAD AND…Never mind, breathing now. I’m of the opinion that Marte should be a last-ditch, worst-case,we-have-no-other-option dude. Instead, they put him in during a point where holding on to a lead was CRUCIAL, something better suited to Phil Hughes. OR, if Andy couldn’t make 6 innings, Joba, then Hughes, then Mo. YOU KNOW, THE PATENTED FORMULA THAT WORKED SINCE THE FRIGGING ALL STAR BREAK!!!?!?!?!?!?

quasisonic: Easy now, dear. I wonder what Girardi was thinking?

Me: I know what he was thinking: “I love scotch. Scotchy scotch scotch. Yum yum yum.”

Onward to game four!!! I have class tonight, so hopefully dad and twitter will keep me up to date on the game as it happens.
